School Profile: Hubei University of economics was established in March 2002 with the approval of the Ministry of education. It is a full-time public undergraduate college run by the people's Government of Hubei Province. The earliest history of running the school can be traced back to the "Hubei commercial secondary school" founded by Zhang Zhidong in 1907. The school is located in Wuhan City, on the Bank of the beautiful Tangxun Lake. It covers an area of 1.06 million square meters, with a building area of 660000 square meters. The campus is surrounded by green water, verdant trees, flowers in all seasons, birds singing and full of vitality.

The university has carried out master's degree education in accounting, and set up 61 undergraduate majors, including 3 national characteristic majors, 9 national and provincial comprehensive reform pilot majors, 1 national experimental teaching demonstration center, and obvious comparative advantages in finance, accounting, finance and taxation, law, logistics, tourism and other disciplines.

Teaching staff: the school adheres to the principle of attaching equal importance to education and attracting talents to prosper. At present, there are 933 full-time teachers, including 109 professors and 350 associate professors. Teachers with doctoral degrees account for 43.52%. Scientific research achievements: the University adheres to theoretical research as the guide, application research as the focus, focuses on modern service industry, focuses on building platforms and cultivating achievements in regional financial development and financial security, carbon emission trading, modern logistics, water resources protection and legislation, and cooperatively promotes scientific research and social services with fruitful results. One national collaborative innovation center, one provincial Collaborative Innovation Center, seven provincial key research bases of Humanities and Social Sciences, three provincial scientific research platforms, and two provincial Party committee and government reform think tanks have been built.
