Enshi vocational and Technical College

Enshi vocational and technical college is a higher vocational and technical college approved by the provincial Party committee and government in August 2000. It is the only full-time ordinary college sponsored by the people's Government of Enshi Prefecture. Since the 11th five year plan, the staff of the hospital have been adhering to the service-oriented principle, employment oriented, training highly skilled talents as the foundation, and focusing on improving the level of personnel training. They have worked hard to serve the development of national economy, and have walked out a new way of accelerating development, characteristic development, and all-round development. The college has successively won the titles of "Hubei provincial civilized unit", "advanced grass-roots party organization of colleges and universities in Hubei Province" and "advanced unit of sunshine project of rural labor transfer and training in Hubei Province". Since its establishment eight years ago, the college's talent training level has been continuously improved, its school running strength has been significantly strengthened, its social reputation and social status have been increasingly improved, and it has become a prominent professional education in the western part of the province and Wuling region It shows a large radiation driving effect. The college is the executive director unit of the minority vocational education special committee of the Chinese Vocational Education Association and the president School of the inter School Cooperation Association of Higher Vocational Colleges in the border regions of Hunan, Hubei, Chongqing, Sichuan and Guizhou. In September 2007, our college got the "excellent" grade in the evaluation of higher vocational talents training. In December of the same year, our college successfully ranked among the "construction units of Model Higher Vocational Colleges in Hubei Province".

The college has 8 departments (departments) including Department of economic management, Department of electrical and mechanical engineering, Department of computer and information engineering, Department of bioengineering, Department of architectural engineering, Department of foreign languages, Department of basic courses, Department of secondary vocational education, and 37 Higher Vocational Majors. The college has 8369 full-time students and 1865 adult students (978 junior college students and 887 undergraduate students).

At present, the college has 594 on-the-job teaching staff and 408 teachers, including 154 teachers with technical titles of deputy high school or above, 73 teachers with graduate degree or master's degree, and 151 teachers with double qualification. The college is divided into two campuses, covering an area of 564 mu, including 178 mu of jinziba campus and 386 mu of main campus. The building area of the school is 207000 square meters, and the total fixed assets value of the college is 150 million yuan. The total value of teaching instruments and equipment in the college is 31.94 million yuan. It has built three national vocational education training bases of "numerical control technology", "computer application technology" and "biotechnology", with 103 on campus experimental training rooms (bases), 25 multimedia classrooms (1955 seats), 7 speech rooms (392 seats), and 1373 teaching computers, and 54 off campus training bases.

In terms of specialty construction, according to the needs of market demand and local economic development, the college timely adds new majors and transforms the old ones, with 37 Higher Vocational Majors. Two provincial teaching reform pilot majors (animal husbandry and veterinary, Tourism Management) have been established. In terms of curriculum construction, the college has implemented three projects of qualified courses, high-quality courses and excellent courses, established more than 20 courses as famous brand courses and key construction, and completed 4 provincial "Excellent Courses" (Principles of accounting, C language programming, applied microbial technology and single chip microcomputer application technology).

Since 2006, the average initial employment rate of graduates has been 92.3%, ranking in the forefront of Higher Vocational Colleges in the province. Many professional graduates have become "hot" talents, and the employment rate of graduates majoring in construction technology, animal husbandry and veterinary medicine, landscape technology, tourism management, etc. has reached 100%.
