Kunming health vocational college is a full-time higher vocational college, which is approved by Yunnan Provincial People's government and reported to the Ministry of education for the record. The college's enrollment was included in the national enrollment plan of ordinary colleges and universities in that year. It has the qualification of independently issuing the diploma recognized by the state. It is the only medical higher vocational college in Yunnan at present.

The college is located in the South Bank of the beautiful Dianchi Lake, west of Chenggong University Town, with convenient transportation, beautiful environment and obvious location advantages. It is a modern, garden style and Ecological Harmonious University campus. The college covers an area of more than 400 mu, with a total construction area of more than 200000 square meters. At present, it has built modern infrastructure such as teaching building, administrative building, library, teaching and research building group, student apartment, student restaurant, standardized football field, basketball court, etc.

The training center of the college is equipped with advanced medical experimental instruments. The library has 146000 paper books and 300000 multimedia electronic books.
