Jiaxing Nanyang vocational and Technical College (hereinafter referred to as Nanyang College) is a full-time higher vocational and technical college officially approved by Zhejiang Provincial People's government. It is jointly organized by Shanghai Jiaotong University Education Group and Jiaxing education development investment company. Nanyang University is directly managed by experts and professors with rich experience in running school of Shanghai Jiaotong University. Pan bin, the current president, is a professor and doctoral supervisor of Shanghai Jiaotong University. He enjoys the special allowance of the State Council and served as the dean of teaching at Jiaotong University. Nearly 100 professors and professionals of Shanghai Jiaotong University have come to the university to teach since the establishment of the University. Some professional courses are taught by teachers of Shanghai Jiaotong University. According to the spirit of the framework agreement on deepening comprehensive cooperation and promoting common development between Jiaxing Municipal People's government and Shanghai Jiaotong University, the development of the college has been listed as an important part of bilateral cooperation. Nanyang University plans to build a new school site in Xiuzhou District of Jiaxing City. The campus is planned to use 580 mu of land, with a construction area of 180000 square meters and a total investment of 630 million yuan. In the first phase of the project, 360 Mu and 150000 square meters of buildings will be built first. The commencement ceremony of the project was held on December 25, 2012, and the new campus is expected to be put into use in 2015, which will create better learning conditions for Nanyang students.
