Lianyungang Technical College

Lianyungang vocational and technical college is a comprehensive full-time university under the leadership and management of the provincial government. The predecessor of the school is Lianyungang Vocational University, which was approved by the Ministry of education in March 1983 and renamed Lianyungang vocational and technical college in March 1999.

In September 2008, the school moved into a new campus with 1150 mu, 330000 square meters of building area, more complete and modern functional facilities. At present, it has set up more than 60 majors, covering 12 major categories, including industrial manufacturing, agriculture and forestry, biochemistry, civil engineering, manufacturing, electronic information, environmental protection, textile and food, finance and economics, tourism, public utilities, art, foreign language, etc., and has initially formed a relatively complete school running pattern of Arts, science, engineering, economics, arts, agriculture and other disciplines. At present, the school has more than 10000 students, more than 8000 full-time junior college students and more than 2000 adult and secondary school students. The school has more than 500 teaching staff, including 126 teachers with the title of professor or associate professor or above, and 214 teachers with doctor's or master's degrees. The school library has a collection of more than 690000 books and more than 1200 kinds of periodicals. At present, it has built 84 basic, professional laboratories and training centers, more than 100 off campus practice and training bases, 7 industry university research integration practice bases independently built by the University, and has a number of national vocational skill appraisal institutes.

The University adheres to the "people-oriented" school running concept, pays attention to the cultivation of students' quality education and practical ability, pays attention to the training of students' sense of competition and innovation, and adheres to the road of higher vocational education. It has successively promoted and deepened a series of reforms in education and teaching, personnel system, scientific research system, integration of production, teaching and research, and socialization of logistics As a strategic measure to promote the development of the school, the integration of production, teaching and research should be established and perfected. In recent years, the university has made great progress in enrollment, employment and foreign cooperation in running schools. Since 2000, the university has been recruiting students from all over the country. At present, it has enrolled students from 24 provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities directly under the central government. The University attaches great importance to international exchanges and cooperation. It has established sister schools with South Korea's mupu skills University, Hanyu University, mupu Polytechnic University, and Japan's saga women's short term University, sending more than 40 international students and advanced students each year. In addition, it also has intercollegiate cooperation and exchanges with the United States, Canada, Germany, Australia, New Zealand, Singapore and other countries. The University attaches great importance to the employment of graduates, and has established a relatively perfect employment information and service network. In recent years, the employment rate of graduates has reached more than 95%. Most of the employment destinations are in the Yangtze River Delta, Pearl River Delta and other economically developed areas. Our school has been listed as one of the first batch of high skilled talents training demonstration bases by Lianyungang Municipal government. In 2007, it was awarded "advanced unit of high skilled talents training" and "advanced unit of vocational skills appraisal" by Lianyungang City.
