Insurance Vocational College

With the approval of the Ministry of education and the people's Government of Hunan Province, the insurance vocational college is the only full-time public institution of higher learning in China, which is reformed from China Insurance Management Cadre College (established in 1986). It is in charge of China Life Insurance (Group) Company and China Reinsurance (group) company, and its education business is managed by the Education Department of Hunan Province. The college is located in Tianxin District of Changsha City, close to the new address of Hunan provincial government. The number of insurance books in our college is the largest in China. With complete teaching and living facilities and elegant campus environment, it is a "garden style unit" and "provincial garden style unit" in Changsha City. There are 11 full-time professors and more than 70 associate professors in the college. Among the full-time teachers, 72.4% have graduate degree. Since its establishment, the college has made remarkable achievements in scientific research. It has presided over and completed nearly 20 national, provincial and ministerial level scientific research projects, and participated in the compilation and review of national key monographic bibliographies such as history of China Insurance and insurance knowledge reader. In recent years, more than 30 scientific research achievements have won provincial and ministerial awards, and five achievements have won awards from China foundation for financial education development. Journal of China Insurance Management Cadre College is a national core journal of social sciences. The college integrates academic education, post training and qualification examination. In 2004, the college enrolled Three-year Higher Vocational College Students from 27 provinces (cities and districts) in Beijing, Tianjin, Hebei, Shanxi, Inner Mongolia, Liaoning, Jilin, Heilongjiang, Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Anhui, Fujian, Jiangxi, Shandong, Henan, Hubei, Hunan, Guangdong, Guangxi, Hainan, Chongqing, Sichuan, Shaanxi, Gansu, Qinghai, Ningxia and Xinjiang.
