Changchun information technology vocational college is approved by the people's Government of Jilin Province, the national recruitment of ordinary colleges and universities, with the independent qualification of issuing college diploma. The college takes professional education as its development direction, and trains practical talents based on computer software and related majors. In recent years, the college has accumulated rich experience in training senior IT professionals, and formed a set of unique teaching mode, teaching method and management mode.

The college is located in the software park of Changchun national high tech Industrial Development Zone (Changchun high intelligence intensive zone, which has 24 colleges and universities and 39 scientific research institutes, with nearly 200000 scientific and technological personnel working here), adjacent to Nanhu campus and avant-garde campus of Jilin University. It covers an area of 100000 square meters, with a building area of 83648 square meters, 17 multimedia classrooms, 78 computer classrooms, 2 electronic laboratories and more than 3000 computers.

The campus network system of the college is directly connected with the optical fiber of Jilin University, which can share its related teaching resources.
