Shanwei vocational and technical college is located in the beautiful coastal city of eastern Guangdong Province -- Shanwei City, Guangdong Province. It is a public college at the junior college level established by the people's Government of Shanwei City, approved by the provincial government and registered by the Ministry of education of the people's Republic of China.  

The college has established the concept of "people-oriented", with the purpose of promoting the healthy growth of students and paying attention to the comprehensive and harmonious development of students. We should establish the concept that "the quality of talent training is the lifeline of the college's survival and development", pay attention to the teaching quality, strictly grasp the examination style, and promote the formation of teaching style, study style education and good school spirit. We will implement the "double certificate" system, actively organize the assessment and certification of professional qualifications and technical grades, and enhance the professional skills and competitiveness of graduates. The students have strong practical ability, and have achieved good results in relevant competitions, such as participating in the "Challenge Cup" competition, winning the second and third prizes of the seventh Guangdong College Students' extracurricular academic and technological works, participating in the first Guangdong folk song and dance competition, winning the gold medal, participating in the Guangdong class theme web design competition, and winning the second prize of the university group, etc.

The college has a campus area of about 700 Mu and a building area of more than 70000 square meters. Campus, green grass, verdant flowers and trees, pleasant scenery. The beautiful campus environment provides a good learning, working and living environment for teachers and students.

At present, the college has more than 120 teachers with middle and senior professional titles, including 45 associate professors, senior lecturers and other teachers with sub senior professional titles or above, accounting for 26% of the total number of full-time teachers. The college now has Chinese Department, foreign language department, mathematics and application department, electronic information department, economic management department, art and sports education department. There are more than 3800 full-time students and 425 junior college correspondence students. Guangdong Institute of education, Hanshan Normal University and Huizhou University set up undergraduate correspondence teaching centers in our college. The college is also jointly run with the Open College of South China Normal University. College students can apply for similar undergraduate majors without entrance examination. Students who have completed the undergraduate course can obtain the undergraduate diploma jointly issued by the provincial Self-study Examination Commission and China Normal University. Those who meet the requirements of bachelor's degree application can apply for the bachelor's degree of South China Normal University.

The college has set up a "student employment guidance center" to provide systematic career guidance and corresponding jobs for graduates. At present, it has established a supply-demand relationship with a number of employing units to deliver outstanding university graduates to all levels of employing units. Graduates are welcomed by employers, and the employment rate remains above 90%.

Shanwei vocational and technical college is based in Shanwei and eastern Guangdong, enrolls students from all over the province, and enrolls some students from other provinces. It aims to cultivate applied talents and teachers of primary and secondary schools urgently needed in the modernization construction.
