Chongqing real estate vocational college was founded in 1984, formerly known as Chongqing University of science and technology for advanced studies. It was founded by Chongqing Association of retired elderly workers in Colleges and universities. In 2001, it was approved by the Ministry of education to establish Chongqing Bayu vocational and technical college. In 2005, it was funded by Chongqing oupeng Industrial Co., Ltd. and renamed Chongqing real estate Vocational College in 2008. The college is a higher education institution established by Chongqing new oupeng group and Chongqing University according to the mixed ownership mode. The competent unit is Chongqing Education Committee, which is a non-profit non enterprise legal person unit.

Over the past 30 years, the school has trained 24000 high-quality technical talents for real estate and related industries, and has made positive contributions to promoting the economic construction and social development of our city. At present, the college has 9076 full-time students, covering an area of 818 mu, building area of 338700 square meters, teaching and scientific research administrative room of 187000 square meters, teaching and scientific research equipment of 104 million yuan, and library collection of 756800 books. At present, there are 526 full-time teachers, 162 with senior professional and technical positions, including 21 professors, and 209 with graduate degree.
