Jiangxi Health Vocational College

Jiangxi health vocational college is a full-time medical higher vocational college, which belongs to Jiangxi health and Family Planning Commission. Jiangxi health school, the predecessor of the college, was founded in 1955, and Nanchang railway health school was founded in 1958. Both schools are national key technical secondary schools. With the approval of Jiangxi Provincial People's government and the record of the Ministry of education, the two schools were merged and upgraded to Jiangxi nursing vocational and technical college in June 2004 and renamed Jiangxi health vocational college in April 2015.

In October 2012, the College moved to Xiaolan new campus as a whole, with excellent conditions. The new campus covers an area of 290000 square meters, with a building area of 260000 square meters. The total value of fixed assets is more than 500 million yuan, the total value of teaching and scientific research equipment is more than 50 million yuan, and the library has a collection of more than 680000 books.

The college has nursing department, laboratory department, pharmacy department, medical technology department and clinical medicine department. It has nine Higher Vocational Specialties, including nursing, midwifery, laboratory and pharmacy, with more than 12000 full-time students.

At present, the college has 410 teaching staff, including 332 full-time teachers. The structure of specialty, education background, professional title and age is reasonable, and a number of industry experts participate in teaching.

The college has nearly 60000 square meters of experimental and training places, with sufficient experimental and training places, complete and advanced teaching equipment, and various professional training centers are funded by the state or provincial finance. The college is a Sino Japanese cooperative elderly care training base in Jiangxi Province, which is listed by the provincial Red Cross Society, a national training base for the rational use of essential drugs for primary health personnel in Jiangxi Province, and a national vocational skill appraisal center established by the Provincial Department of human resources and social security. It has two provincial characteristic specialties of nursing and inspection, and seven provincial excellent courses. The college has won the honors of "internal security" advanced unit, comprehensive management advanced unit, provincial civilized unit and Nanchang civilized unit.
