Xiamen Nanyang Vocational College

Xiamen Nanyang University, officially established with the approval of Fujian Provincial People's government and registered by the Ministry of education of the people's Republic of China, is a full-time comprehensive university with the qualification of independently issuing state recognized diplomas. It is jointly founded by 15 young and middle-aged scholars (professors, doctors) and entrepreneurs at home and abroad who are enthusiastic about the educational cause of the motherland.

The school has good school running conditions and first-class teaching staff. Now it has seven colleges, 88 majors and nearly 10000 students. It is the fastest-growing private university in Fujian Province and the largest private university in China's special economic zones. There are teaching and scientific research building, student activity center, large student comprehensive restaurant and 10 student apartment buildings. There are 10 basketball courts, 8 badminton courts, 4 volleyball courts, high standard multimedia, computer teachers, language training rooms, etc. At present, there are more than 600 full-time and part-time professors, associate professors and lecturers employed from Xiamen University, Tsinghua University, Northwestern Polytechnic University, as well as overseas universities, multinational companies and research institutions in the United States and Canada. In addition, experts, scholars and entrepreneurs from home and abroad are invited to teach in the University from time to time. Some of them are jointly established with key universities such as Northwestern Polytechnic University and Xiamen University. The school's teaching principle is to guarantee the first-class teaching quality with first-class teachers.

When the students graduate, they will be awarded the diploma independently by the University. After completing the national required courses and passing the examination, the other majors will be awarded the undergraduate diploma and junior diploma recognized by the state. The junior college graduates can also continue to study the undergraduate diploma of Jimei University, Huaqiao University and Fuzhou University through "upgrading from junior college to undergraduate".

At present, the university is building a digital, environmental and ecological first-class campus covering an area of nearly 600 mu. In the autumn of 2006, the first phase of the new campus project has been completed and put into use, and more than 6000 Nanyang students have moved into the new campus. The university plans to build a domestic famous and provincial first-class application-oriented undergraduate university with 10000 people in 6-8 years, and strive to have a master's degree.
