Changsha Normal University

Changsha Normal University, formerly known as Chairman Mao Zedong's teacher, proletarian revolutionist and outstanding educator, was founded by Mr. Xu Teli in 1912. In 2013, Changsha Normal University was upgraded to an ordinary undergraduate university, which is even more famous.

The college has a long history of running a school, rich cultural heritage, famous teachers and talents. Yang Changji, Zhu Jianfan, Zhou Gucheng and other famous scholars were gathered, more than 20 revolutionary martyrs such as Liu Zhixun, Luo xuezan and Chen Chang emerged, and a large number of national pillars such as Tian Han, Xu Guangda, Liao Mosha and Liu Ying were cultivated.

The college has a campus area of more than 1100 mu, two campuses (Xingsha campus and Ansha campus) adjacent to the beautiful Songya lake, across the river; there are 10 departments, 6 undergraduate majors, 31 junior college majors, 16 experimental centers, Hunan preschool education research center, 9 research institutes, teaching equipment worth more than 47 million yuan, and more than 500000 paper books. There are nearly 10000 full-time students, nearly 600 on-the-job teaching staff, more than 140 professors and associate professors, and more than 30 doctors. There are a number of well-known experts and scholars, such as "experts enjoying the special allowance of the State Council Government", "members of the kindergarten teacher training and Teaching Steering Committee of the Ministry of education", "winners of Hunan Xu te Li Education Award", "famous teachers of ordinary colleges and universities in Hunan Province". The college is the national animation and game talent training base, the national Tibet preschool teacher training base, the first batch of implementation units of the national preschool teacher training program, and the chairman unit of the national preschool teacher special committee.

At present, the college has three provincial key and characteristic majors, including preschool education, animation design and production, toy design and manufacturing, seven provincial excellent courses, three national excellent courses, and four first prizes of provincial higher education teaching achievements. The journal "Research on preschool education" is the only theoretical core journal in the field of preschool education in China, the Journal of China Association for research on preschool education, and the source journal of CSSCI. The journal "Research on Xu Teli" has a special influence in China.

The school spirit, teaching style and study style of the college are excellent, and graduates are welcomed by employers. CCTV, Hunan Satellite TV, Hunan daily and other news media carried out reports, known as the "teacher" phenomenon. In recent years, the college has been rated as the "civilized university" in Hunan Province, the "first leader" project evaluation unit for college graduates' employment, "Scholarly Campus" University, the "excellent" University for information work, the national advanced unit for art education, the national model school for language standardization, and the "excellent" University for pre-school teacher training in Tibet.
