New Science College of Henan University of science and technology

Xinke College of Henan University of science and technology is an independent college approved by the Ministry of education according to the new mechanism and new mode. It is a full-time ordinary university with undergraduate education and has the right to confer bachelor's degree.

Founded in 2003, the college is located in Xinxiang City, a famous city in the Central Plains, with a building area of 260000 square meters. With complete teaching facilities, there are 99 laboratories including biology and chemistry comprehensive laboratory, Microcomputer Laboratory, speech room, physique training room, and 48 practice and training bases inside and outside the school. The total number of library documents is 1.2 million.

There are 699 full-time teachers, including 195 with senior titles and 435 with master's degree or above. There are more than 30 excellent teachers in China, provincial and municipal academic and technological leaders, provincial young backbone teachers, provincial excellent teachers and civilized teachers.

At present, the college has 35 undergraduate majors, including 2 "comprehensive reform pilot majors" in Henan Province. It has formed a discipline pattern that covers the coordinated development of nine university disciplines, including economics, management, law, education, literature, science, engineering, agriculture and art.

The college has 15 teaching departments, including economics department, management department, information engineering department, Chinese Department, law department, food science and Engineering Department, chemical engineering department, bioengineering department, urban planning department, foreign language and Literature Department, art department, mechanical engineering department, electrical engineering department, ideological and Political Theory Teaching Department and physical education teaching department.

The college has more than 10600 full-time undergraduates. Since its establishment, more than 16700 professional and technical talents have been sent to the society. The comprehensive quality of graduates has been generally recognized by employers, and the quality of employment has been improved year by year, which has made due contributions to the economic construction and social development of our country, especially in Henan Province.

The college pays attention to the improvement of the quality of personnel training. In the past three years, 38 students have won the national first, second and third prizes in the National Mathematical Modeling Contest for college students, the National Electronic Design Contest for college students, the National English Contest for college students, the national three-dimensional digital innovative design contest, and the "Challenge Cup" national extracurricular academic and technological works competition for college students. More than 220 people have won the provincial first, second and third prizes. The postgraduate entrance examination rate has increased year by year, reaching 26.02% in 2015. In recent years, six dormitories have all passed the master's degree, which has played a good social response in the society. In recent years, the college has strengthened its internal quality and external image, with rapid development of various undertakings and continuous enhancement of its comprehensive strength. In wushulian's 2013 list of China's independent colleges, the comprehensive strength of Xinke college ranks 92 and the quality of graduates ranks 77.
