The College of science and technology of Hunan University of technology is an independent college founded by Hunan University of technology according to the new system and mode. Hunan University of technology is a multidisciplinary university with engineering as the main subject and coordinated development of engineering, science, management, arts, economics, law and other disciplines. The university is the first member of iapri in China. It is the director of the National College Packaging Engineering Teaching Steering Committee of the Ministry of education and the packaging education committee of China Packaging Federation. It is also the only vice president unit of China Packaging Federation and China Packaging Technology Training Center. The school covers an area of more than 3000 mu, has a library collection of more than 1.5 million books, more than 34000 full-time students, 227 full-time teachers with high professional titles, 636 deputy high professional titles, and 6 academicians of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and Chinese Academy of Sciences. College of science and technology of Hunan University of technology is an independent college approved by the Ministry of education and Hunan Provincial People's Government in 2001. It is also one of the first batch of independent colleges confirmed by the state. The college enjoys the preferential policy of reducing scores of independent colleges run by national ordinary universities. The college is located in Zhuzhou, Hunan Province, on the Bank of the beautiful Xiangjiang River, an important industrial town in the south, adjacent to the ancient city of Changsha in the north, Hengyue resort in the south, famous Xiangtan mansion in the West and Yanling ancestor in the East. It is located in the East Campus of Hunan University of technology with beautiful scenery and fresh air, close to the main campus of Hunan University of technology. The college's enrollment plan is included in the national task and belongs to the undergraduate level enrollment plan within the national plan. The specific enrollment major and number of students of each province (city, district) shall be subject to the announcement of the provincial (city, district) enrollment department. After entering the University, the freshmen who have been registered by the Ministry of education of the people's Republic of China and have passed the examination will be awarded the diploma of science and Technology College of Hunan University of technology. The freshmen admitted in 2009 will be awarded the bachelor's degree certificate of science and Technology College of Hunan University of technology when they graduate. If the college does not get the right to confer bachelor's degree, Hunan University of technology will still issue a realistic bachelor's degree certificate indicating the name of the college. After graduation, students can work in the whole country, which is included in the national unified employment plan.
