Shanxi Finance and Taxation College is located in Taiyuan City, the capital of Shanxi Province. It is a full-time college to cultivate applied talents in finance and economics. It is one of the first batch of National Demonstrative Higher Vocational Colleges. The predecessor of the school is Shanxi accounting school established in 1963. In 1985, Shanxi Finance and Taxation College was established on the basis of Shanxi accounting school, which is subordinate to the Department of finance of Shanxi Province. In 2002, with the approval of the people's Government of Shanxi Province, the University and Taiyuan University of technology jointly held the school of Finance and economics of Taiyuan University of technology.
