At the press conference held by the State Council Information Office on the same day, Tian Yulong said that the Ministry of industry and information technology, together with relevant departments, took the lead in strengthening the organization and coordination of vaccine production and supply, guiding seven enterprises to speed up the construction and industrialization process of new crown vaccine production capacity. Since the beginning of this year, the progress of vaccine production capacity construction and production and supply capacity have been significantly accelerated.
As of July, the production capacity of Xinguan vaccine has reached 5 billion doses, which has effectively guaranteed the domestic demand for vaccination. Up to now, the supply of 1.4 billion doses has been realized. At the same time, it supplies 570 million doses abroad.
"The production and production capacity of Xinguan vaccine are expanding, the supply capacity is improving, and the growth rate is very fast, which better meets the demand of vaccination in domestic epidemic prevention and control, and also supports foreign epidemic prevention and control as much as possible." Tian Yulong said.
The overall quality and safety requirements of vaccine production are relatively high. The production of a vaccine takes three months from production to vaccination, with many links. Ministry of industry and information technology guides vaccine enterprises to strengthen quality and safety prevention and control, especially in the supply of raw and auxiliary materials, inspection, quality and other aspects, to put forward higher requirements.
