The Naval Museum is mainly divided into three exhibition areas: indoor, marine and land. The basic display of the history of the people's Navy set up in the indoor exhibition area, centering on the theme of "striving to strengthen the sea", is divided into three parts: "hard work, sailing", "reform and opening up, riding the wind and waves", "strengthening the army and advancing into the deep blue". There are three wharves and six berths in the maritime ship exhibition area, where the 1:1 replica of the Yangtze River ship, China's first domestic destroyer and the first domestic nuclear submarine are berthed. The land equipment exhibition area mainly displays the small surface ships, aviation equipment, land war equipment and coastal defense equipment that have played an important role in the tasks of liberating coastal islands, safeguarding the safety of coastal areas and protecting people's lives and property.
