This is a victory for new China's diplomacy, for world justice and for the purposes and principles of the UN Charter.
Wang Yi said that Chairman Mao Zedong once said that it was the developing countries that brought us into the United Nations. The word "lift" vividly reflects the deep friendship between the vast number of developing countries and China. Over the past 50 years, China has also been unswervingly upholding the legitimate rights and interests of developing countries and speaking out for developing countries in the spirit of "lifting". China has stood with developing countries in the past, present and future. China's vote in the United Nations will always belong to developing countries.
Wang Yi stressed that as the world's largest developing country and a permanent member of the UN Security Council, China always adheres to the purposes and principles of the UN Charter, vigorously promotes the spirit and concept of multilateralism, and has made unremitting efforts and significant contributions to the realization of the UN ideal, the promotion of its development and progress, and human development and progress.
