Climbing woody, stem solid, spinless. Rhizome only; qualitative, nodular. The leaves are oblong lanceolate, 5-8 cm long and 1-2 cm wide; the petiole is 0.5-0.8 cm long, the sheath is not obvious, the length is almost 1 / 2 of the petiole, and there is a pair of tendrils at the end of the sheath. Umbels axillary, peduncle 1.5-2 cm long, slightly flat; peduncle 7-8 cm long; flowers unisexual, dioecious; perianth segments 6. The berries are green when they are ripe.

It is warm and pungent.
