[clinical application] treatment of bacillary dysentery and acute gastroenteritis
Take 2-4 liang of Wild Peony Root (dry product) and chop it up. Add 500ml water and fry it to 100ml. Take it once or twice. A total of 72 cases were treated, 29 cases were cured by one dose (no diarrhea after taking the medicine once, abdominal pain and other gastrointestinal symptoms disappeared the next day), 35 cases were cured by three days (diarrhea gradually reduced after taking the medicine, gastrointestinal symptoms disappeared within three days), 4 cases were cured by four days (diarrhea and various gastrointestinal symptoms were significantly relieved after taking the medicine, but stool formed on the fourth day), 4 cases were invalid. The cure rate was 94.4%. It was observed that diarrhea was stopped several hours after taking the medicine, and bowel sounds were weakened; most patients were constipated for one day the next day; abdominal pain was gradually relieved after stopping diarrhea.
