They are perennial, weak, bald and twining vines. Stem gray green, often with small tumor. Leaves alternate; usually 5-digitate, almost to base. The diameter is 6-9 cm. The lobes are elliptic lanceolate. The apex is obtuse, but small sharp. The entire or the lowest pair of lobes sometimes divide again. Both sides are bald. The petiole is slightly longer than the leaf, and there are often nodules. Cyme, inflorescence stalk short, 1-3 flowers; calyx green, 6-8 mm long, apex very blunt; corolla funnel-shaped, light purple, 5-6 cm long, inner color deeper; stamens 5. Capsule, 4 seeds, gray brown, short and round, with long woolly hairs on both sides of back. The flowering period is summer and autumn.

It is distributed in Guangxi, Fujian, Guangdong, etc. Most of them are cultivated in Guangzhou. They are often twined on the pole or shed for shade.
