Evergreen trees or shrubs, 5-15m high. Branches gray, branchlets somewhat ribbed, reddish brown. Flowers unisexual, dioecious, arranged in pedicled umbels; male inflorescence peduncle 2-8 mm long, petiole 2-4 mm long; calyx 1 mm long; petals 4-5, green white, oval, 2.5 mm long; stamens 4-5; female flowers smaller, petiole 3-5 mm long; ovary superior.
