[clinical application] ① treatment of bacillary dysentery

Take 10 jin of fresh muskmelon vine, cut it up and wash it, add 20 jin of water, and boil it over a high fire until the liquid is light brown, then filter it; add 10 jin of water to the dregs and fry it again. Mix the two decoctions, clarify and filter; concentrate the filtrate with gentle fire, add 1 jin of yellow sugar to make 4000 ml (every 100 ml is equivalent to 4 liang of cantaloupe vine), add preservatives, and reserve in the storage bottle. Adult sea day 100-200 ml, 5-15 years old 60-100 ml, 2-3 times for 3-4 days. For patients with severe diarrhea and abdominal pain, add 4-6ml Compound Camphor Tincture, twice. After treatment, 24 cases were cured in 1-4 days except 5 cases. No side effects were found during the treatment.

② Treatment of hypertension

Take muskmelon vine, cucumber vine, watermelon vine each 5 yuan (dry product), add water 500 ml fry to 100 ml, take 1 ~ 2 times a day, 1 month as a course of treatment. In 10 cases, the blood pressure of 7 cases dropped to the normal range about one week after treatment, and there was no blood pressure rise after stopping the treatment for half a month to one month after treatment; in 3 cases, the blood pressure dropped but rose from time to time. Side effects: nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, abdominal discomfort and other gastrointestinal symptoms generally disappeared in 3-4 days without treatment.
