The plant body is dense, showing a large cushion community, 3-10 cm high, with green upper part and yellowish brown lower part. The stem is erect and branched, all densely covered with pseudoroots and triangular in cross section. The leaves are lanceolate, long pointed, with double row sharp teeth on the edge, strong middle rib, disappearing at the tip and serrated near the tip. Capsule petiole purplish red, ca. 1 cm long; capsule erect, subovate, brown.

It grows on high mountain limestone. Distributed in Xinjiang, Shaanxi, Yunnan, Sichuan and other places.
