[source] it is the lichen of Oriental lichen, a plant of litulaceae.

[plant morphology] dongfangyi, also known as Finger Coral branch.

Lichen is shrubby, tough, grayish green, 2-6cm high, erect, tufted, with thick main branches and fine branches. Ovary terminal or lateral, hemispherical, disk also brown or dark brown. It is leafy and branched.

Born on high mountains and rocks. It is distributed in Shaanxi and other places.

[chemical composition] it contains a water-soluble polysaccharide, which is a slightly branched polysaccharide with about 140 α - glucose units and linked by 1.4-and 1.3-glucoside bonds.

[pharmacological action] the cold soaking agent has anti tuberculosis effect in vitro.

[flavor] it is astringent and bitter, and slightly cold.

Function indications: cool blood and stop bleeding. Treatment of hematemesis, bleeding, hypertension.

[prescription selection] ① for hematemesis and bleeding: three coins of shijisheng, five coins of Taibai tea, two coins of Schisandra chinensis, Phellodendron amurense, Scutellaria baicalensis, hongshier and lupiancao, respectively.

② Treatment of hypertension: shijisheng, zhushaqi, zhugenqiye, baimaogen each three money, buckwheat seven, taibaihua, taibaicha each two money, decoction.
