[chemical constituents] it contains alkaloids, mainly Phyllostachys praecox alkaloid and Phyllostachys praecox alkaloid methyl ether. It also contains Phyllostachys praecox alkaloid, berberine and jatrorrhizine, but there is no nandinine.
