Erect shrub, 1-2m high. Young branches hairy. Compound leaves have 3 leaflets, ovate, ovate elliptic or elliptic lanceolate, 1.5-9 cm long and 1-5 cm wide, apex acute, obtuse or slightly concave, apical, base cuneate, below densely pubescent. Racemes axillary, solitary or several arranged in panicles, 6-15 cm long; pedicels 1-4 cm long, densely pubescent; bracteoles ovate lanceolate, narrowly rectangular or linear, about 4 mm long, pubescent; calyx teeth nearly equal to or longer than calyx tube, densely covered with yellow green short chestnut hairs, lobes ovate, acuminate or lanceolate; corolla purplish red or white, 1-1.2 cm long, long The bone petal is longer or nearly equal to the flag petal when the flower is in full bloom; the pedicel is short and hairy.
