It is a big tree with a height of 25 meters. Bark gray white, dark gray when old, longitudinal crack; young branches with gray villi, old branches smooth hairless, buds slightly villi. The leaves on the long branch are triangular ovate, 10-15 cm long and 8-12 cm wide, apex pointed, base truncated or subcordate, with 2 large glands, margin double serrated, dark green above, sparsely pilose below, petiole round, 2.5-5.5 cm long; the leaves on the old branch are smaller, margin undulate, glabrous; the leaves on the short branch are smaller, ovate Abaxial surface glabrous. Catkin, dioecious, first leaf open; male inflorescence about 10-14 cm long; bracts ovoid, pointed, villous; stamens 8; female inflorescence 4-7 cm long; ovary elliptic, stigma 2-lobed. Capsule long ovate, 2-lobed. The flowering period is March. The fruiting period is April.
