Deciduous vines, 10 m long. Branchlets and petioles densely white pilose, later smooth, with oblong lenticels; pith white flaky. Leaves alternate, thick papery, oblong to rounded, 7-15 cm long and 4-12 cm wide, apex acuminate or obtuse to mucronate; base suborbicular, or microcordate, margin with small sharp teeth, upper part white pilose when young, later abscission, lower part densely covered. The petiole is 1.5-2.5 cm long.
