[function indications] it is used to treat cough, asthma, hemoptysis, carbuncle, traumatic bleeding.

[usage and dosage] oral administration: decoction, 3-5 yuan (fresh 0.8-1 Liang); or grind. External use: tamping or grinding.

[selection] 1. For the treatment of severe asthma in the lung: pukuiye is roasted and ground into fine powder. Rice drink to take two money dagger, and take Huang. (zhongzang Jing)

[clinical application] ① treatment of chronic tracheitis

Elaeagnus leaves (dry) and Bidens bipinnata each 5 yuan, fried in water, 2 times, 10 days as a course of treatment. After one course of treatment, 1 case was controlled, 14 cases were markedly effective, and 59 cases were improved; after two courses of treatment, 16 cases were controlled, 29 cases were markedly effective, and 33 cases were improved. It has a certain effect on asthma, cough and expectoration, especially on relieving asthma. But the long-term effect remains to be observed.

② Treating asthma

Sun dry the leaves of Elaeagnus, stir fry gently until yellowish, grind and set aside. Each time with hot rice soup to give 1 money, sooner or later each time, continuous 15 days, if necessary, can take several weeks. More than 100 cases were treated. Generally, the symptoms improved significantly after 10-15 days, and the attack frequency of some patients decreased significantly, especially for patients with deficiency cold syndrome.
