[plant morphology] Artemisia argyi, also known as Artemisia macrocephala.

Herbaceous perennial, 40-80 cm high, with dense white crab hair and retroflexed pubescence. Roots massive, fusiform or conical, reddish brown, slightly fleshy. Stem erect, cylindrical. Leaves alternate, broadly ovate or suborbicular, apex caudate cuspidate, base rounded or shallowly cordate, margin coarsely toothed, both surfaces sparsely short hairy or subglabrous; petioles present. Monoecious; yellow green flowers; male inflorescence under female inflorescence, conical, about 10 cm long, perianth 5, stamen 5; female inflorescence on stem tip, leaf axil, slender, spicate, perianth 4, unequal, enlarged in fruit, stigma filiform. Achenes obliquely ovate, oblate, ca. 2. 2 mm.

It grows under the mountain forest or in the wet area near the ditch. Distributed in Yunnan, Sichuan, Guizhou, Hunan, Hubei, Shaanxi, Henan, Shanxi, Hebei and other places.
