[medicinal material] the dried fruit is ellipsoid, 0.8-1.5 cm in length and 0.7-1 cm in diameter. There is a small pit (stipe mark) on one end, and a residual yellowish perianth on the other end, up to 5 mm in length. The outer skin is reddish brown or jujube red, slightly shrunken, thin in quality, and broken when twisted by hand. It contains 6 seeds, which are oblate, tetrahedral or triangular, polyhedral, dark brown or reddish brown, slightly glossy, with a layer of white film on the outside and grayish white inside.
