[plant morphology] apidiptera

Perennial herbs. The rhizome is short and thick, with lateral branches around it, more or less covered with white hairs or woolly hairs. Leaves basal, heart-shaped or kidney shaped, appearing after anthesis, 2.8-8.6 cm long and 12-15 cm wide, grayish green below, with arachnoid hairs and repeated serrations on the margin; petioles 23 cm long, with hairs on the surface at the beginning. The flowers are dioecious; the flower stems are drawn out from the rhizome, with alternate large scalelike bracts and flat veins; the flower heads are arranged in the shape of corymbs; the female flowers are white, and the male flowers are yellow white, with crown hairs.
