Erect subshrub, 1-1.5m high. Stem much branched, pubescent. Leaves alternate, odd pinnate compound, leaflets opposite, 3-7, oblong, ovate lanceolate or elliptic, 10-14 cm long, 3-5 cm wide, apex slightly pointed, glabrous above, pilose below, entire. Raceme terminal, into a spike, up to 30 cm, apex curved, shaped like "dog tail"; flowers purple. Pods, slightly short hairy, with 2-4 pods.
