Daur Costume
Daur nationality has a long history and agricultural culture in northern China. Daur's clothing is greatly influenced by Mongolian and Manchu. Men wear big skin robes, long robes, white cloth, straw hats and leather boots.
On November 11, 2014, it was approved by the State Council as the fourth batch of intangible cultural heritage of the Daur nationality.
In November 2019, the list of national intangible cultural heritage representative project protection units was announced, and Hulunbuir Mass Art Museum (Hulunbuir intangible cultural heritage protection center; Hulunbuir Art Museum) won the qualification of "Daur Costume" project protection unit.
Daur men wear fur hats, long gowns, leather trousers and leather boots. The hat is made of the scalp of roe deer, wolf or fox, with the hair facing out, ears and horns standing upright. It is lifelike and can protect the body from the cold when hunting. The boots are mostly made of roe deer, deer and cattle skins. In addition to leather clothing, Daurs also wear cloth robes and trousers. Wear cotton padded robes in winter, jacket and vest in cold weather, jacket in spring and autumn, and single robe in summer. In the early days, women wore leather clothes, and after the Qing Dynasty, they mainly wore cloth clothes. The colors of the clothes are mostly blue, black and gray, and the elderly women also like to wear the shoulders on their robes.
