Works introduction

On the right side of the picture, a high mountain stands in the air, the peaks and rocks are rolling, and the miscellaneous trees between the mountains and rocks are withering. The corresponding lower left part is a close-up slope stone, with towering ancient pines curling above it and clear springs flowing down the mountain. Between the mountain and the close view, a big river meanders from afar. The painter also arranges four houses for the characters in the picture. They are the solitary boat traveler in the river, the temple in the dense forest in the mountain, the scholar in the small building on the near slope, and the master and servant riding a donkey on the wooden bridge in the mountain stream. Among them, the scholar in the small building is the most detailed. The building is on the second floor, with only one corner exposed on the ground floor Sitting on a carved fence, wrapped in a scarf and a cloak, you can enjoy the scenery safely. The most magical part of this painting is the snow on its face. Looking from afar, the painter only feels the chill. He skillfully uses the contrast between the ink and the white silk to flexibly outline the crack and dye, leaving traces of heavy snow everywhere on the hillside, treetops, roofs and slab bridges.

On the left side of the picture, the painter wrote two poems with a title: "who lives alone in the East Tower is the snow rising stream of Qianshan Mountain." This poem was not written by an artist, but by Du Mu of Tang Dynasty, which said: "Song Temple once lived in the same place, and the night was deep, and the moon was high and low in the hall. Who is leaning on the east tower column? It is the snow rising stream of Qianshan Mountain. " In his hurry, the painter wrote two wrong words, or he intentionally rewritten them, which is not known.

This poem was written by Du Mu when he was a judge of Xuanzhou League training in the early Tang Dynasty. Xuancheng East Wanxi, North Jingting mountain, the scenery is very beautiful. The Kaiyuan Temple in the city was built in the Eastern Jin Dynasty and is one of the local scenic spots. During his stay in Xuancheng, Du Mu often visited Kaiyuan Temple to enjoy and write poems.
