Duke Huan of Lu

Duke Huan of Lu (about 731-694 B.C.), surnamed Ji, named Yun (the name of Shiben), the eldest son of Duke Hui of Lu and the younger brother of Duke Yin of Lu, was the 15th monarch of the state of Lu in the spring and Autumn period. In 712 BC, Duke Lu Yin was killed and Duke Lu Huan ascended the throne. Later, he married Wenjiang, the younger sister of Duke Qi Xiang. In 694 BC, he was found to have adultery with Wenjiang and was killed by Peng Sheng, the prince of Qi. His eldest son, Duke Lu Zhuang, ascended the throne.

Life of the characters

Duke Huan of Lu, surnamed Ji, was born by Duke Hui of Lu, the right concubine of Zhongzi. When Duke Lu Hui died, Duke Lu Huan was young and was Regent by Duke Lu Yin, the elder brother of Duke Lu Huan.

In the 11th year of Duke Lu Yin (712 BC), Yufu (Duke Hui) advised Duke Lu Yin to kill Duke Lu Yun (Duke Lu Huan), but Duke Lu Yin did not agree. Worried that it would be bad for him, Yufu (Duke Hui) slandered Duke Lu Yin and wanted to be bad for Duke Lu Huan. In November, Yufu (Duke Hui) sent someone to kill Duke Lu Yin and set up Duke Lu Yun To be king is to be Duke Huan of Lu.

In the third year of Duke Huan of Lu (709 BC), he married Wenjiang, the younger sister of Duke Xiang of Qi.

In the sixth year of Duke Huan of Lu (706 BC), wenjiangsheng (Duke Zhuang of Lu).

In 694 years ago, the Duke of Huanlu and his wife Jiang Wengong told him about the affair. In April, Duke Xiang of Qi drunk Duke Huan of Lu and sent his son Peng Sheng to drive for him. Duke Huan of Lu died in the car. Later, under the pressure of the state of Lu, Qi Xianggong killed Peng Sheng.
