Fan Jian

Fan Jian

Fan Jian, male, master, born in Jiangsu Province in 1957, is currently a professor and doctoral supervisor of Law School of Nanjing University.

Character experience

He received a bachelor's degree in philosophy from NTU in 1983 and a master's degree in law from NTU in 1988. He studied commercial law, economic law and international commercial law in the law department of Gottingen University from 1989 to 1991.

Director of the Chinese side of Sino German Institute of economic law, member of the Council of NTU, project review expert of Vietnam specially invited by the United Nations Program, member of the steering committee of legal teaching of the Ministry of education, member of all China Youth Federation, member of China law society, member of China Economic law society, member of China International Economic Law Society, legislative adviser of the Standing Committee of Jiangsu Provincial People's Congress, and member of Jiangsu Provincial People's Procuratorate He is an expert consultant of Nanjing Intermediate People's court, a lawyer and an arbitrator of Nanjing Zhongshan law firm.

At present, he is a professor and doctoral supervisor of Law School of Nanjing University, a member of China law society, China economic law society, China International Economic Law Society, a member of Law Education Steering Committee of State Education Commission, a member of the eighth all China Youth Federation, and a legislative consultant of Jiangsu Provincial people's Congress.

He has studied abroad and been a visiting scholar at Gottingen University in Germany and Columbia University in the United States. He has also given lectures in Germany, the United Kingdom, the United States, South Korea, Hong Kong and Taiwan.

In 1999, he was employed by the United Nations Programme for development as a consultant expert of the UN Vietnam reform project.

Summary of achievements

Since 1991, he has given lectures in Britain, Germany, the United States, South Korea, Vietnam, Singapore, Hong Kong and Taiwan. It has undertaken a number of scientific research projects entrusted by national, provincial, municipal and foreign foundations as well as domestic enterprises and institutions. He has also served as a lawyer and arbitrator, legal adviser to the government, enterprises and banks, and has represented nearly 100 international and domestic economic and trade cases.

He has been engaged in the teaching and research of commercial law, economic law and international economic law for a long time. Since 1985, he has published more than 100 legal papers, 16 legal monographs and teaching materials, and his representative works include commercial law, commercial law, introduction to commercial law, German commercial law, comparative study of Chinese and German commercial law, theory of company law, study of anti dumping law and GATT "International rules and applicable practices", "China's economic law", "jurisprudence", "basic theory of law", "Introduction to law", "Research on Deng Xiaoping's legal thought", etc.
