He began to learn calligraphy at the age of 6. He started with Yan style and studied Yan's steles for a long time. He later attacked the four schools of Song Dynasty and Wang Duo of Qing Dynasty in order to draw on their straightforward, naive and elegant brushwork. He made every effort to write freely, with elegant and elegant style, complemented by withered and prosperous style.
