After Zhong Mouyan arrived at the case, she truthfully confessed to the crime of bribery and voluntarily confessed to the money laundering crime that the supervisory authorities did not yet have knowledge of.

The People's Court of Wudang District, Guiyang City, Guizhou Province, after trial, found that the defendant Zhong Moyan took advantage of her position to seek benefits for others and illegally accepted more than 9.49 million yuan in property from others, which was a particularly large amount; In order to conceal and conceal the proceeds of bribery crimes, the source and nature of funds are concealed through transfer and other means, and the circumstances are serious. Their actions constitute the crimes of bribery and money laundering, respectively. Zhong Moyan's crime of accepting bribes has circumstances such as confession and full refund, and can be given a lighter punishment according to law; The money laundering crime committed has the circumstance of voluntary surrender, and the punishment can be reduced according to law. Zhong Moyan was sentenced to ten years and six months in prison for bribery and fined RMB 500000; Sentenced to one year and six months imprisonment and a fine of RMB 100000 for money laundering, and sentenced to 11 years imprisonment and a fine of RMB 600000 for multiple crimes; Retrieve criminal proceeds in accordance with the law. After the first instance judgment, if there is no appeal or protest within the statutory time limit, the first instance judgment has taken legal effect.
