The Chinese Embassy pointed out that there have been frequent cases of telecommunications fraud involving Chinese citizens in recent times, and called on Chinese people traveling to Myanmar to be vigilant and take strict precautions. Do not trust information such as online platform overseas high salary recruitment, free outbound travel, investment and financing, and rebate for swiping orders. Be highly vigilant to ask for private information such as ID number and bank account, as well as transfer and remittance requirements. Do not click the network link with unknown origin, do not transfer funds rashly, and avoid falling into fraud and wire fraud traps

The Chinese Embassy also called for reasonable travel planning to avoid going to areas with high security risks, never entering areas where foreigners are prohibited or restricted, and carefully go to crowded places and areas with poor public security.
