Zhangyu Wine Culture Museum

Zhangyu Liquor Culture Museum is one of the few professional museums in the world wine industry. It is located at the original site of Zhangyu Company, Da Ma Lu, Zhifu District, Yantai City, Shandong Province. It was built in 1992 by Zhangyu Company on the eve of the centennial celebration and opened to the outside world in September 1992. It is a national AAAA-level tourist attraction.

The Museum has many halls, such as wine culture square, 100-year underground wine cellar, comprehensive hall, history hall, film and television hall. It systematically and comprehensively introduces the development history of Zhangyu Company for more than 100 years, enterprise culture and wine culture knowledge. It is a hard epitome of the rise of Chinese wine industry and Chinese national enterprises.

Development history

Zhangyu Liquor Culture Museum was established in 1992. It is located in the old courtyard of Zhangyu Company, 56 Dama Road, Zhifu District, Yantai City, Shandong Province. Zhangyu Wine Culture Museum is the first world-class wine museum in China. With more than 110 years of Zhangyu's history as the main line, through a large number of cultural relics, physical objects, old photographs, famous ink and so on, it tells people about the history of the development of Chinese national industry represented by Zhangyu and the knowledge of wine culture by means of high-tech expression. Zhangyu Wine Culture Museum is designed by Tsinghua University with a total investment of more than 60 million yuan. It has a grand momentum and novel conception. The museum is divided into two floors, including a comprehensive hall, a history hall, a film and television hall, a modern hall, a treasure hall and a century-old underground wine cellar. The 100-year-old underground wine cellar is known as the first in the Far East. It is warm in winter and cool in summer. Its arches and caves are crisscrossed like a labyrinth. Thousands of oak barrels, including the Asian barrel king, are arranged neatly and magnificently.

Museum tour is a journey of national industry, history and culture, and wine culture. It vividly demonstrates the unique wine charm of Yantai, the only international wine city in Asia. It was built in 1894 and completed in 1903. It lasted 11 years. It was the only large underground wine cellar in Asia at that time. Through the history hall, wine culture hall, honor hall and painting hall, the exhibition hall systematically shows the centuries-old history of Zhangyu wine culture, and exhibits many celebrities'ink and collections.

Over the years, as an important window for Zhangyu's publicity, Zhangyu Wine Culture Museum has received a large number of foreign guests and celebrities, and has been designated as a patriotic education base by the Shandong Provincial Government and Yantai Municipal Government, greatly expanding Zhangyu's reputation at home and abroad.

Details of exhibition hall

Zhangyu Wine Company was founded in Yantai in 1892 by Mr. Zhang Bishi, a wealthy businessman from Nanyang. In 1912, Mr. Sun Yat-sen presented Zhangyu Wine Company with the title of "Pingzhong Liquan" as an encouragement. In 1992, the company built the Wine Culture Museum, which is divided into a hundred-year underground wine cellar and wine culture exhibition hall. Thousands of oak barrels are arranged in an orderly manner in the underground wine cellar. The wine culture exhibition hall showcases the history of Zhangyu in the past 100 years. There are traditional liquor-making tools, various famous brands of Zhangyu liquor, reception wine room, audio-visual room and so on. In 1992, General Secretary Jiang Zemin inscribed the centennial celebration of Zhang Yu with the inscription "Canglang Wants Poetry, Only when it is brewed can it be fragrant".

Preferential policies: students, 60-69 year-olds, children under 1.3 meters, elderly people over 70 years old and disabled people are exempted from tickets with valid certificates. Ticket-free groups do not have free wine tasting activities, do not give souvenirs
