By the end of 2019, there are 3725 medical and health institutions in Suining, including 76 hospitals (63 private hospitals) and 3622 primary medical and health institutions; there are 21400 beds in medical and health institutions and 18200 health technicians, including 7338 practicing (Assistant) doctors and 7640 registered nurses. There are 6 MCH institutions, 160 practicing (Assistant) doctors and 241 registered nurses; 104 township health centers, 1198 practicing (Assistant) doctors and 1312 registered nurses. The total number of medical institutions diagnosed and treated in the whole year was 20.704 million, including 6.7558 million in hospitals (1082900 in private hospitals) and 13.5999 million in primary medical institutions; 634300 people were discharged, including 439000 in hospitals (81900 in private hospitals) and 185900 in primary medical institutions; the hospitalization rate in the county reached 79.97%. The maternal mortality rate, infant mortality rate and under-5 mortality rate were 13.8/100000, 2.72 ‰ and 4.21 ‰, respectively.
