Shanghai Flower Port

Shanghai Flower Harbor is a new town in southeastern Pudong along the dripping lake of the East China Sea. It has a unique geographical location. Opened in September 2002, it is a modern agricultural demonstration park with flower growers training, flower planting, new product exhibition, new product research and development, seed and seedling export as the main part.

It has 30 hectares of modern greenhouse, 50 hectares of new flower exhibition and popular science leisure garden, 3200 square meters of research and development center of new flower science and technology, and uses solar energy to provide green energy for flower growth and seedling cultivation. Brief introduction of Huagang

Shanghai Fresh Flower Port New Flower Species Science Exhibition Park is a new flower variety exhibition area in Shanghai Fresh Flower Port, covering an area of 28 hectares. The buildings in the exhibition garden have their own characteristics. Opposite it is a 30-meter-long white artificial waterfall that gushes down from the rocks. On the east side of the exhibition area stand three classic Chinese carpenters'windmills, showing a strong pastoral flavor.

Shanghai Flower Port is located between Shanghai Pudong International Airport and Yangshan Deepwater Port. Shanghai Flower Port will be built as a functional supporting area of Nanhui New Town, flower horticulture radiation area of Shanghai World Expo, and urban modern agriculture demonstration practice area.

Planning area

The planned area of Shanghai Flower Port is 10 square kilometers, and the core area is 1 square kilometer, which is mainly composed of four parts. 1. 60 hectares of self-controlled greenhouse production area; 2. 28 hectares of new flower varieties exhibition area; 3. 7 hectares of education research and development extension area; 4. 3 hectares of supporting service area. Its hardware and software construction is leading in China and advanced in the world. Tulip flower exhibition area covers 28 hectares. There are 3.2 million tulips planted in the garden, with more than 300 varieties. The exhibition area is full of characteristics and various forms.

Under the careful cultivation of horticultural technicians, 3.2 million tulip plants can be prolonged to a full month at the end of April through soil improvement, nutrient matrix injection and planting methods adjustment. With the completion of the exhibition area, flower enterprises and farmers can order new varieties needed for planting every year without going abroad.

A set of new varieties and methods suitable for planting in various regions of China can reduce the cost and improve the efficiency of flower growers through the debugging of professional and technical personnel. The blooming period of nearly a month can also let the citizens appreciate the charming charm of colorful tulips. The exhibition garden holds three thematic flower exhibitions every year. Except for tulip flower exhibition from the end of March to the beginning of May, the theme exhibition of lotus, water lily and other aquatic plants is held from mid-May to the end of September every year. The number of plants is more than 80,000 and there are more than 20 varieties.

Shanghai Flower Port Tulip Flower New Exhibition Garden will become a new highlight of modern planting science and technology agriculture and tourism agriculture. It will provide more tourists with new tourist attractions of spring tulip, summer lotus and autumn chrysanthemum. Xinhua Online Shanghai, March 24 (Reporter Ren Long) Shanghai Flower Port 12th Tulip Flower Exhibition will be put on stage on March 26, gathering more than 32 million tulips, 500 varieties of hyacinths, daffodils, anemones and other bulbous flowers. Over the past ten years, new Dutch tulip varieties have been introduced into Shanghai Fresh Flower Port every year, and more than 100 new varieties will be established.

From March 26 to April 25, Shanghai Flower Port will also hold a fleshy flower exhibition with the private collector of fleshy flowers, Yiduo Meat, which will display thousands of fleshy treasures.
