There are many rivers in Leshan City, including Minjiang River, Dadu River, Qingyi River and many small and medium-sized rivers. It is a water rich area with an average annual water production of 11.37 billion cubic meters. With 74.14 billion cubic meters of transit water, the total amount of water resources is 85.5 billion cubic meters, and the per capita water resources are 3366 cubic meters. The theoretical reserves of hydropower resources are about 8 million kilowatts, and the economically exploitable amount is about 7.5 million kilowatts. The installed power generation capacity of the whole city reaches 6.957 million kilowatts, including 5.272 million kilowatts for hydropower.
