Leshan landform
Leshan City is located in the transition zone from Sichuan basin to southwest mountainous area. The overall trend is high in Southwest China and low in Northeast China. The highest point is the main peak of Ma'anshan in Ebian Yi Autonomous County, with an altitude of 4288m, and the lowest is the exit of Minjiang River at machangba, Xinmin Town, Qianwei county. The altitude is 307 meters, the relative height difference is 3981 meters, the average altitude is 500 meters, and the altitude of Leshan City is 360 meters. There are three types of landforms: mountain, hill and flat dam. The mountainous area is 8530 square kilometers, accounting for 66.5% of the total area of the city. It is mainly distributed in the southwest of Emei Mountain, Ebian, Jinkouhe, Mabian and Muchuan. It is the transition zone between Liangshan plateau and Sichuan Basin. The hilly area is 2694 square kilometers, accounting for 21% of the total area of Leshan City. It is mainly distributed in the northeast of Emei Mountain and Muchuan line. It is a red hilly area formed by slow rise and long-term erosion. The valley plain covers an area of 1603 square kilometers, accounting for 12.5% of the total area of the city. It is mainly distributed along the banks of Minjiang River, Dadu River and Qingyi River.
