Location context
Suining City is located in the middle of Sichuan Basin and the middle reaches of Fujiang River. It is between 105 ° 03 ′ 26 ″ - 106 ° 59 ′ 49 ″ E and 30 ° 10 ′ 50 ″ - 31 ° 10 ′ 50 ″ n. It is 90.3 kilometers wide from east to west, 108.9 kilometers long from north to south, and covers a total area of 5322.18 square kilometers. It is adjacent to Chongqing, Guang'an and Nanchong in the East, Chengdu in the west, Neijiang and Ziyang in the south, Deyang and Mianyang in the north, forming an equidistant triangle with Chengdu and Chongqing. The east end is Zhuhua temple in Pengxi County, and the west end is Xinghua reservoir in riverside town of Daying County, about 90.3 km from east to west; the southernmost end is qingshangou in Daan township of Anju District, and the northernmost is qinglongzui in Fuxing town of Shehong County, with a distance of 109.8 km from North to south. The Fujiang River runs 171 kilometers from north to south.
