In the strong feudal ethical atmosphere of the Qing Dynasty, it is impossible for women to show their curves as modern. In the Qing Dynasty, the cutting system of flag dress always adopted straight line, and the chest, shoulder, waist and buttocks were completely straight, so that the curve of female body was not exposed. Although some people think that the Qipao is changed from Manchu women's, it is not. Flag dress is the national costume of Manchu nationality. The only design space of flag dress is the only design space except for fabric. Therefore, it is beautiful to have multiple rolls. At the end of Qing Dynasty, "Eighteen inlays" (i.e. inlaying with 18 laces) became popular. In the Qing Dynasty, most of the patterns of flag dress were sketched from life. The themes of dragon, lion, Phoenix, crane, bird, plum, orchid, bamboo, chrysanthemum, Babao, Baxian, Fulu Shouxi and so on were commonly used themes.
