In 2018, the total industrial added value of Deyang City was 101.28 billion yuan, an increase of 9.8% over the previous year. By the end of the year, there were 1376 Industrial Enterprises above Designated Size, and the added value of industries above designated size increased by 10.8% over the previous year. In terms of light and light industries, the added value of light industry increased by 8.4%, while that of heavy industry increased by 11.9%. From the perspective of major industries, the machinery industry increased by 14.2%, the food industry by 6.8%, the chemical industry by 1.0%, the pharmaceutical industry by 1.8%, the building materials industry by 8.5%, and the textile and clothing industry by 1.2%.
In 2018, Deyang's Industrial Enterprises above Designated Size achieved 347.43 billion yuan of main business income, an increase of 14.8%. Total profits and taxes reached 33.62 billion yuan, an increase of 22.5%. The total profit was 20.73 billion yuan, up 20.3%.
By the end of 2018, there were 243 qualified construction enterprises in Deyang City, with the total output value of the construction industry (including those outside the province) of 42.14 billion yuan, an increase of 20.2% over the previous year, and the added value of the construction industry was 6.74 billion yuan, an increase of 2.8% over the previous year.
