Dalian Laohutan Ocean Park

Dalian Laohutan Ocean Park is located in the middle of the southern coast of Dalian, a national scenic spot. It covers an area of 1.18 million square meters and has a winding coastline of more than 4,000 meters. Dalian Tiger Beach Ocean Park is a modern ocean theme park which exhibits ocean culture, highlights the characteristics of the coastal city and integrates sightseeing, entertainment, popular science, shopping and culture. On May 8, 2007, Dalian Tiger Beach Ocean Park was officially approved by the National Tourism Administration as a national 5A tourist attraction.

On February 25, 2017, the reporter learned from the press conference of the National Tourism Administration that, after deliberation by the General Council of the Director of the National Tourism Administration, the National Travel and Investment Commission decided to give a serious warning to Tiger Beach Marine Park and Tiger Beach Polar Hall in Dalian City, Liaoning Province, with a six-month deadline for rectification.

In October 1987, the Dalian Scenic Area Administration and Beijing Electrical and Mechanical Supply and Marketing Corporation cooperated to build China's first cross-sea air ropeway, the cross-sea tour ropeway.

On April 29, 1989, Chinese and foreign tourists were officially received. The cableway is 600 meters long. The station buildings with exquisite shape are located on the slopes of Lingjiao Bay and Yuanhutan Park. There are 12 passenger compartments suspended.

In January 1991, the Municipal Government set up the headquarters for the reconstruction of Tiger Beach Paradise, which opened the prelude of the comprehensive transformation of Tiger Beach. The single compartment can take six tourists at a time and run for 15 minutes, with a total investment of 4 million yuan.

On August 20, 1990, the Dolphin Show Hall began construction. The Dolphin Show Hall, which was built by Dalian Scenic Area Administration Office and Hong Kong Dongbao Entertainment Company, held a ribbon cutting ceremony. It covers an area of 3500 square meters and has a building area of 2700 square meters. With 327 square meters of performance pool, breeding pool, training pool and 1500 guest ladder stands and other auxiliary facilities, it is the first permanent dolphin performance venue in the mainland of China with a total investment of 2 million RMB. A dolphin "hip-hop" and "ha-ha" introduced from Hong Kong can perform 20 wonderful performances such as Double Dolphin dolphins.

On June 30, 1991, the Bird Language Forest broke ground and was located in the northern valley of Lingjiao Bay Square.

On May 12, 1992, the Bird Language Forest held its opening ceremony with the underwater world, and the Tiger Beach Paradise held its formal opening ceremony on the same day.

In June 1993, the Underwater World Phase II Project completed its construction area of 1700 square meters. Touch pools, Penguin pools, anchovy pools, crocodile pools, seal pools, turtle pools and so on have been built to improve the ornamental effect and performance functions of the underwater world.

In 2002, Tiger Beach Ocean Park was rated as a well-known tourism brand in China.

In 2005, the work of creating national 5A tourist attractions was launched.

In May 2007, it was awarded the first batch of national AAAAA tourist attractions. It is the only marine theme park in the first AAAAA class scenic spots. And successfully passed the international certification of ISO 9001 quality management system and ISO 14001 environmental management system.

In 2015, the tourist fleet of Dalian Tiger Beach Ocean Park, the main southern route of "Looking at Dalian at Sea", was officially operated.

Dalian Tiger Beach Ocean Park is a monsoon continental climate, but it has oceanic characteristics. Climate characteristics are: distinct seasons, mild climate; warm summer without heat, cold winter but less severe cold, not cold in spring and autumn, moderate temperature; humid air, concentrated rainfall, clear monsoon, strong wind.
